Icon Searcher is a Windows application which finds and extracts icon images from the system or any drives available.
Any icon found can be saved to an integrated icon database or to a separate custom location, whether it belongs to a program, system or any other file type. Additionally, Icon Searcher can save icons as image files (BMP, ICO, JPG, GIF, PNG, PCX, TGA, or TIFF). Plus, it has clipboard support meaning that any icon available can be copied and then be pasted into a document or any other application with image support.
Icon Searcher supports multiple icon sizes including custom sizes, Windows standard and Vista/7 aero style icons. Furthermore, all icons stored in database are compressed to offer a faster visualization.
The interface has had minor redesigns: for instance the icons are now shown by page for easier navigation. Moreover, a search can be cancelled or minimized to work in the background plus it supports an advanced search to filter icons by size, type, color, etc. Another great change is that users can setup icons in a tree structure where an icon can contain sub-icons to organize the image collection in a custom way .
Finally, this great application has a function to delete any duplicated icons or to auto-rename them.
